Cold agglutinin disease (autoimmune hemolytic anemia caused by M. pneumoniae) results in antibodies that agglutinate in cold temperatures. Epstein-Barr virus and chronic lymphocytic leukemia (CLL) can also induce cold agglutinin disease. Macrolides are the treatment of choice for M.pneumoniae.
