Serotonin syndrome (SS), likely caused by a multidrug regimen that includes an SSRI and a “-triptan” medication. TX: includes supportive care; administration of activated charcoal for acute ingestions; and, in severe cases, administration of cyproheptadine. Cyproheptadine is a serotonin receptor antagonist that is administered by mouth.
