Waldenström macroglobulinemia. Waldenström macroglobulinemia is a rare B-lymphocyte lymphoproliferative disorder that often results in a syndrome of blood hyperviscosity, secondary to increased levels of IgM (both heavy and light chains), which are secreted by neoplastic plasma cells.
