Cyclophosphamide is cell cycle nonspecific. It is an alkylating agent that covalently bonds to DNA at guanine N-7. Cyclophosphamide rapidly controls cancer cells but is also very toxic and can cause jaundice, anemia and hemorrhagic cystitis, among other adverse effects.
