Fresh-frozen plasma (FFP) and vitamin K are used to treat warfarin overdose (causing a supratherapeutic INR). Warfarin depletes the vitamin K–dependent clotting factors (II, VII, IX, and X) and FFP contains these factors. So, typically, FFP is given as a bridge until the body can build up its stock of vitamin K.
