Autosomal dominant hereditary spherocytosis is a type of Coombs-negative immune hemolytic anemia caused by dysfunctional RBC structural membrane proteins. While is is associated with spherocytes on peripheral blood smear, it is also associated with an increased mean corpuscular hemoglobin concentration (MCHC).
