Increaed Contractility: Digoxin
- Positive ionotropy –> Increased Contraction –> Increased Stroke Volume
AV Fistulas / accidents
- Fistula –> Dec SVR –> Dec Afterload –> Inc Preload –> increased Stroke Volume –> Inc CO –> maintain BP.
Exercising:
- Eccentric Hypertrophy!
- Inc in Blood volume (rbcs), Increased arteriolar density –> Decreased SVR –> Increased Preload –> Increased LVEDV –> Eccentric Hypertrophy –> Increased StrokeVolume, Similar HR –> Inc CO
- LVEF = unchanged –> LV = SV/EDV –> Both SV and EDV are proportionally high
